Maintenance Notes for E4 Owners
The E4 uses standard Jura consumables - cleaning tablets, descaling tablets, and CLARIS water filters - all shared with the current product range, so keeping one running is straightforward and cheap by Jura standards (no milk system cleaner needed, ever).
Common issues in aging E4 units:
- Grinder wear: After 5,000-8,000 shots, grinder burrs produce uneven grinds. If espresso consistently tastes weak despite adjusting strength settings, the grinder is the first place to look.
