The Z-Series is Jura’s premium home line. These machines offer the most advanced grinder technology, the widest drink menus, and - in the Z10 - the only built-in cold brew system in the Jura range. Here is how the Z-Series models compare.

Jura Impressa Z6
The Z6 is the older Z-Series model with a proven track record. It uses the Aroma G3 grinder (the same as the E8), offers 13 one-touch specialties, and features Jura’s Pulse Extraction Process for rich, full-bodied espresso. The 4.3” color display is responsive and easy to navigate.
The Z6 is a strong choice if you find it at a good price. It shares the same fine-foam milk system as the Z10, so milk drink quality is equally good. The main things you miss versus the Z10 are cold brew, the wider drink menu, and the advanced P.R.G. grinder.
Jura Z10
The Z10 is Jura’s current flagship for home use. Its standout feature is built-in cold brew extraction - it produces cold coffee in about 3 minutes using a pulsed extraction method, delivering smooth, low-acidity cold coffee without the 12-24 hour wait of traditional cold brew.
The other major upgrade is the Product Recognizing Grinder (P.R.G.), which automatically adjusts grind size, speed, and extraction time based on which drink you select. This means the grind for a ristretto is different from the grind for a cold brew - optimized automatically, every time.
With 32 one-touch specialties, the Z10 covers virtually every coffee and milk drink you could want, hot or cold.

Z-Series vs E-Series: Should You Upgrade?
The most common question we get is whether the Z-Series is worth the price jump over the E8. Here is the honest answer:
- If you want cold brew: The Z10 is your only option in the Jura range. No other model has it.
- If you want the best grinder: The P.R.G. in the Z10 is measurably better than the Aroma G3. You will notice the difference in espresso richness and consistency.
- If you want more drinks: 32 vs 17 specialties. The Z10 covers everything the E8 does, plus cold coffees, additional milk foam levels, and specialty long coffees.
- If value matters most: The E8 at $1,500-$2,000 gives you 90% of the daily experience. The Z10 premium is real, but the E8 is the better value for most people.

Our Verdict
The Z10 is the best Jura you can buy for home use. If your budget allows it and you will use cold brew, it is the clear choice. The Impressa Z6 is a smart buy if you find it at a discount and do not need cold brew. And if the Z-Series pricing is too steep, the E8 is our best overall recommendation for most buyers.
