The GIGA line is Jura’s commercial-grade series, built for offices, cafes, and any setting that needs 30+ cups per day without performance loss. Here is what makes the GIGA different and who it is for.

What Sets GIGA Apart

The defining features of the GIGA series are dual systems: two ceramic disc grinders and two thermoblock heating systems working simultaneously. This means you can brew espresso and steam milk at the same time - critical for speed in a busy environment. It also means you can load two different bean types (regular and decaf, or two origins) in separate hoppers.

Who the GIGA Is For

Offices (10+ people): The GIGA handles back-to-back brewing all morning without slowing down. Dual hoppers let you offer regular and decaf. The touchscreen is simple enough that everyone can use it.

Small cafes and restaurants: Consistent, one-touch operation means any staff member can make quality drinks without barista training. Every cup tastes the same.

Large households: If you have 5+ coffee drinkers under one roof and someone is always waiting for the machine, the GIGA’s dual systems eliminate the bottleneck.

Who Should Skip the GIGA

Home users making under 15 cups/day: The GIGA is overkill. The Z10 or E8 will handle that volume easily at a much lower price.

Cold brew fans: The GIGA does not have cold brew extraction. If that is important, the Z10 is your only Jura option.

Budget-conscious buyers: At $4,500+, the GIGA is a significant investment. For home use, the E8 gives you excellent daily coffee at a third of the price.

GIGA vs Z10: Which Is Better?

These machines target different needs. The Z10 wins on drink variety (32 vs 28), cold brew, and the smart P.R.G. grinder. The GIGA wins on volume (dual everything), speed (simultaneous brewing and frothing), and durability for heavy daily use.

Choose the GIGA if volume and speed are your priorities. Choose the Z10 if drink variety and cold brew matter more.

Maintenance for Commercial Use

Commercial machines need more frequent maintenance. Plan for:

  • Daily: Rinse milk system, empty drip tray and grounds container
  • Weekly: Full cleaning cycle with Jura cleaning tablets
  • Monthly: Descaling cycle
  • Annually: Professional service from a Jura technician
